I've played in this great league for years and feel we should keep up with its changing "face".Olympic competition next year is going to throw the spotlight on the sport once again. Non-players and casual fans may have a desire to come out and play,that's how grass-roots sports grow. To confuse them by having multiple formats would take the JSVBA backwards. The growth of the sport is key to meaningful benifits for players and organizers alike. Upper level guys have had to change because of the AVP. If you want to play at that level you must learn the game. Keeping the old rules is nostalgic at best. Nostalgia is somtimes less a celebration of the past and more of a fear of the future.
