Please feel free to forward this to anyone or any organization you feel may have an interest.
Just wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of some of our more important upcoming events, here at the Jersey Shore Volleyball Association, Inc. (JSVBA).
This weekend, May 25-26, the JSVBA will conducting the $850 Miller Lite Pro/Am at Jenkinson's Beach in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
Next weekend, June 1-2, we will be conducting the $950 SixPak.Com Open at Jenkinson's Beach Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and on Saturday June 1st we will be holding the AAU JUNIORS Regional Qualifier for both boys and girls teams in divisions for 18 and under, 16 and under, 14 and under, 12 and under, and the 10 and under kids.
This event is the only one in the Northeast and will qualify teams for the National AAU Junior Championships to take place in Southern California.
Then on June 8-9, we will be running the combined JSVBA Miller Lite Pro/Am and the Toyota Pro Beach Volleyball Tour with a whopping $5,350 total prize money/airline tickets purse. I am sure you have received their press release but I am including another copy of the release for your edification. That event also takes place on the beach near the Manasquan Inlet at Broadway and the Boardwalk at Jenkinson's Beach in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.
The JSVBA and the TOYOTA Pro Beach Volleyball tour have combined to provide the greatest opportunity for the Men's Pro players on the two weekends they are in New Jersey, at Point Pleasant Beach, June 8-9 and at Belmar, August 17-18.
We have agreed to consider and promote their "Men's Pro Only" event as an integral part of the JSVBA Miller Lite Summer Series of events for 2002 with the Toyota Pro Beach events being considered and promoted as the JSVBA's Men's Pro Division tournament on those weekends.
On June 22-23, June 29-30, and July 20-21, the JSVBA is conducting the "Triple Crown of the Shore," the 3 New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions Classics, in Seaside Heights, NJ.
The 3 events have a combined prize money purse of $5,300 with $1,300 being distributed through the "$1,300 New Jersey Lottery GranPrix" which is based solely on the combined finishes in the three events. A completely new concept for a GranPrix and Professional Beach Volleyball.
Of course, one of the most exciting things we are promoting this summer will be the Family Fun Weekend Event on July 13-14 at Jenkinson's Beach in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Juniors (18-, 16-, 14-, 12-, 10-) on Saturday, and the Adult/Child (Father/Son) on Sunday. Jenkinson's has agreed to provide ride passes to all the participants so Saturday night on the boardwalk should be a blast.
Our Family Fun Weekend should provide the opportunity for Parents to bring their kids on Saturday with everyone playing in either the juniors or adult divisions and then combining the family into teams for Sunday's Adult/Child tournament. Just think of the family bragging rights for the entire year for the winners should two teams from the same family play each other.
There's more, but we'll save that for another e-mail.

TOYOTA PRO BEACH VOLLEYBALL COMES TO JERSEY
Baltimore (April 9, 2002)-The Toyota Pro Beach Tour and the JSVBA announce the 2002 tour expansion into Pt. Pleasant, NJ on June 8 & 9 and Belmar, NJ on August 17 & 18. The Toyota Tour showcases some of the best Men's doubles team in the east.
The JSVBA will offer amateur divisions for men/ women & co-ed play along side of the men's pro division. Top prize money and a "main draw" slot in the AVP's only east coast tour stop in Belmar on June 28-30 are up for grabs in the June 8 & 9 Pt. Pleasant event.
The Toyota Tour, which has attracted the top male players in the east, will now offer players AVP points, which will be used to rank and seed players in the AVP system. "This will help to bridge the competition gap that exists between the local level events and the AVP level," says Toyota Tour Director Don Abramson. "We see this as a true developmental tour for aspiring AVP pros."
The Toyota Tour offers prize money second only to the AVP, which accounts for the wide geographic appeal of the tour. Players from 14 states competed in 2001 and with increased prize money and AVP points in 2002, the Toyota Tour should continue to increase in appeal. The Toyota Tour visits Ocean City, MD, Virginia Beach, Belmar and Pt. Pleasant, NJ in the nine men's pro beach doubles tournaments.
The first event of the 2002 Toyota Pro Beach Volleyball season will be held at the north end of the boardwalk on Jenkinson's Beach in Pt. Pleasant. The two day event will feature matches from 9 AM to 7PM on Saturday and return the top four teams at 11 AM on Sunday. The Championship game will be played at approximately 3 PM. Seating is free to the public all weekend.
