This tournament will take place on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11, 2002. The tournament will have preliminaries at five sites on Saturday the 10th: Coney Island, Brokklyn, South Beach Staten Island, Orchard Beach Bronx, Riverside Park and Central Manhattan, and Rockaway Beach Queens. All sites have all levels of play (novice and pro-am), except for Riverside Park which has only novice play, and Central Park which has only open, or pro-am play. Finals will be held on Sunday August 11th at Coney Island Brooklyn.
There are five divisions: Men's Open, Women's Open, Men's Novice Doubles, Women's Novice Doublex, and Coed Novice Quads. Quads teams must have at least one member of the opposite sex.
