The USA Women's National Volleyball Team defeated Russia in five-sets
(25-20, 17-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-13) in a two-hour and 20 minute match at the
2001 FIVB World Grand Prix. It was Team USA's second victory over the
second-ranked Russian team in one week. Strong blocking carried the team to
the victory. The US record now stands at 3-2 at the Grand Prix. The team
closes week two action with a rematch of their opener vs. Korea on Sunday.

No further details from the match are available.
