Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.
Just a thought, which the Lord was speaking to my heart.
We need to become more aware of how important our motives are by which we do things in the work for the Lord and in our personal life. Are our motives selfish, self glorifying, pleasing the ego, outdoing others, proving ourselves, showing off etc.
etc. OR are our motives pleasing unto God, unselfish, sacrificial, glorifying God, with genuine compassion.
We need to determine this and regularely search our own heart. Because, if our motives are not right all the desires we may have and the good we do are done in vain and in a sinful way. Nothing of ourselves must be visible as we live for Him and do
God's work, otherwise we'll steal His glory and use His power for our own benefit.
Psalm 51:2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Verse 6 Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden part Thou
shall make me to know wisdom.
Verse 7 Purge me with hissop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter
than snow.
Verse 8-10 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which Thou hast broken
may rejoice.
Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
I will give unto the Lord a sacrifice of Praise and Thanksgiving and I will rejoice in Him, no matter the circumstances. Glory to His wonderful name, my Rock and my
Staff.
AMEN AND AMEN !!
