LAFFAN Women’s Recreational Playfest Weekend in Western Mass

Join LAFFAN for a budget-priced recreational weekend that will include cross country (or moderate downhill) skiing, eating, museum-ing, card and board games, other entertainment, and, perhaps, shopping.
As a group we will again be renting all the rooms at the Charlemont Inn, a rustic old Inn about two hours drive west from Boston on Route 2. Group activities will include gathering Friday evening at the Inn's lounge, dinner on Saturday night at the Inn, and Sunday brunch together. Possible other activities will include cross country skiing at Stump Sprouts or Mohawk State Park, shopping in Sherburne Falls or other nearby centers, hot tubbing at the Spa in Greenfield, a trip to the MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams), card playing and games, and ?? There is a long hallway upstairs which we think would make a SWELL bowling alley......An excellent opportunity to get to know LAFFAN women and women from our sister groups. Cost of $120 per person includes two nights lodging (assuming double occupancy), Saturday full dinner & huge Sunday brunch. $10 per night dog surcharge, payable with your deposit.
We will arrive Friday afternoon or evening, January 11, and stay until Sunday the 13th. Extra nights can be arranged. First come, first serve in room assignments (size, semi private bath,etc...)! Most rooms are suitable for two, and many for three (A double and bunk beds...) The Inn is rustic, but we like having the ability to book the entire place! "It ain’t the Taj Mahal, but it works for us!" Due to demand, "Saturday night only" reservations are not available. Be advised that dogs are welcome, and people DO bring dogs.
$75 deposit required by December 15 to reserve. One reason to reserve early is that those who do will get rooms with us at the Charlemont Inn, and will have a better chance at a semi-private bath. There are 12 rooms at the Inn, many with semi-private (shared by two rooms) and some with hall (shared) bath. The Inn filled early last winter, and we made arrangements for women to stay at other nearby Inns and motels. Arrangements can be made to share our meals at cost.
